The Counteraction of Natural Selection in Industrial Society

The newest trend as I watch my FaceBook is;  babies!  Cute little pudgy human worm babies.  Aww how nice.

Wish I had time to do that is what I say, then I realize all of the people having children barely have basic jobs and almost no education.  I mean the world is a free place, but for human society there needs to be some sort of breeding regulations to allow the smartest to survive.

You see, the people who plan and work and get organized have less children because they work within their means and with the time they have.  Now the people who are bored or just generally under utilized can just say to themselves one day… hey I’m 24, my life isn’t going anywhere maybe I’ll have a kid for kicks, maybe two or three, maybe I’ll break up with my boyfriend/girlfriend and start the process all over again.  Meanwhile people trying to get ahead can’t seem to see a child and a mortgage in the same calculations.  It is expensive to live here (Vancouver, BC) and while I would love to have kids right at this moment there just is no way it’s going to happen.

In this way society and socialism is counteractiong natural selection.  The fittest will not survive because they are in gyms and boardrooms, on jets and sitting in their home offices.  They know what they have time for and they realize they will have to wait for children.  They are progressing the economy and at the same time degrading it.  Simply the act of them quitting their jobs and starting a family would ironically be a boost to the entire human race.  Maybe their children could mix with the moderates children and teach them a work ethic.  OR maybe their children would just get beat-up by droves of angry unloved children.
